Early SA dagger with hanger by F. DICK, ESSLINGEN - top condition - Daggers & Swords - MILITARIA 1933 - 1945

Extremely well preserved early production (1933-1936) SA dagger made by company F. DICK, ESSLINGEN. Dagger comes wit its original horizontal hanger and belt loop. Blade is perfect with full crossgrain and deep dark etching. Sacbbard original brown with lacquer finish. All fittings are nickle silver. Crossguards are also nickle silver stamped with Gau "Sw" - Sudwest. Honestly this one is a good choice for advanced collection.

A typical parade and ceremonial weapon carried by members of the Sturmabteilung (SA)—the paramilitary militia of the NSDAP. The SA service dagger, pattern 1933 (SA-Dienstdolch M33), is one of the most striking symbols of the Third Reich's visual propaganda and military structure. Its creation and evolution are directly linked to the history of the Brownshirts and the internal power struggles within the Nazi Party. The dagger was introduced in December 1933 by SA Chief of Staff Ernst Röhm, shortly after the NSDAP came to power. The dagger's design was not modern—Professor Woenne of Solingen deliberately based it on a 16th-century Swiss hunting dagger (the so-called Holbein dagger).
