A very well-preserved Japanese Type 19 cavalry officer's sword. Interestingly, it features the DAKI MYOUGA family crest affixed to the top of the hilt. The sword has a beautiful nickel-plated blade modeled after samurai swords. The hilt is made of brass. No visible markings are present. The steel scabbard shows visible signs of repaired dents. With a little skill, the scabbard could be professionally restored and rechromed. Overall, this sword presents a very attractive appearance and will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to a collection.
