The shield shaped obverse features an eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, above the Rhein and Main border and reads: “Gautag – Hessen – Nassau Frankfurt – AM Main” to the lower edge, IN GOOD CONDITION - INTACT PIN DEVICE, MAKER MARKED: "E.F. WIEDMANN, FRANKFURT a.M.S".
